Myrtle – Alfred Eugene “Red” Jolly, 88, passed away Wednesday, September 19, 2018 at Baptist Memorial Hospital – Union County.

Born August 24, 1930 in New Albany to the late Alfred E. and Lena Coltharp Jolly, Mr. Red was a life-long resident of Myrtle, where he was the owner and operator of Jolly Farm. There was nothing he enjoyed more than driving a John Deere tractor.

He was a longtime member of Myrtle Baptist Church and most recently attended Beulah Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be 2:00p.m. Saturday, September 22, 2018 at Beulah Baptist Church with Rev. Marty Merritt, Rev. Jason Howell and Dr. David Shephard officiating. Burial will be at Glenfield Memorial Park. United Funeral Service is in charge of the arrangements.

He is survived by his wife of forty years, Gala Jolly; two sisters, Lena Gregory (Ray) of Corinth and Alfalene Vardaman-Morse (Jim) of Starkville; four nieces and one nephew.

Pallbearers will be Mike Pannell, Mark Pannell, Royce Wilder, Jimmy Callicutt, Ray Tate and Sam Taylor. Honorary pallbearer will be Johnny Hitt. Special guests will be the Myrtle Quickstop gang.

Visitation will be Friday, September 21, 2018 from 4:00p.m. till 8:00p.m. at the funeral home.!/Obituary
