Billy Gene “Fuzz” McDonald

July 12, 1943 – November 8, 2018


Billy Gene ‘Fuzz’ McDonald, 75, died Thursday, November 8, 2018, at Baptist Memorial Hospital Union County. He was born July 12, 1943, in New Albany to Onie Boyce ‘Buck’ and Elizabeth ‘Lizzie’ Mayo McDonald. He was a member of Martin Baptist Church. He was retired from Stratford Furniture. He never met a stranger. He was always kind and generous to everyone and will be missed dearly by all of his family and friends. He loved going to the Huddle House and drinking coffee and talking with his buddies.

Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Sunday, November 11, 2018, at United Funeral Service with Bro. Andy Russell and Bro. Jeff Taylor officiating. Burial will be in Martin Cemetery. United Funeral Service is in charge of the arrangements.

He is survived by 1 daughter: Debra Massengill (Scott) of New Albany; 3 sisters: Betty Haynes, Judy Potts (Wayne), and Brenda Kidd (Jerry), all of New Albany; 1 brother: James Boyce ‘Bear’ McDonald (Shelia) of New Albany; 1 grandchild: Adam Massengill; 3 great-grandchildren: Alyssa Keys, Hunter Nowlin, and Grayson Massengill; and his special girl friend: Ginger Hudson whom he loved very much.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a nephew: Randy Potts.

Pallbearers will be Adam Massengill, Andrew Potts, Anthony McDonald, Jeff Morris, Bobby Lee Rodgers, and Billy Ray McDonald. Honorary pallbearers will be all of his coffee drinking buddies from the Huddle House in New Albany.

Visitation will be from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Saturday, November 10, at United.!/Obituary
