James Isaac “Bob” Brooks Pannell

James “Bob” Isaac Brooks Pannell, 94, passed away Thursday, September 7, 2017 at the State Veteran’s Home in Oxford. He was born July 12, 1923 in Tippah County to the late Thomas Brook and Velma Elizabeth Cobb Pannell.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and was retired from maintenance of Futorian Mfg.
He enjoyed hunting and fishing, and was known to be a jack-of-all-trades when needed.
He was a member of Keownville Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be 2:00p.m. Saturday, September 9, 2017 at United Funeral Service with Bro. Jerry Bishop and Alan Johnson officiating. Burial will be at Keownville Cemetery. United Funeral Service is in charge of the arrangements.
He is survived by three daughters, Ethel Page (Sam), Mary Adams (Jack) and Elizabeth Robinson (Danny); two sons, Larry Pannell (Maxine) and Gerald Pannell (Sandy); a brother, Tommy Pannell (Wanda); ten grandchildren; thirty-one great grandchildren and nine great-great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Flossie Mae Medlin Pannell; two sisters, Ara Barber and Verna May Lewis; and a brother, Fred Pannell.
Mr. Pannell’s grandsons and great grandsons will serve as active and honorary pallbearers.
