Larry Lynn Smith
June 11, 1943 – October 24, 2018
Etta—On October 24th Larry Lynn Smith closed his eyes and slipped into the arms of God. Larry was born June 11, 1943, in Pontotoc, MS., to Maury and Lottie Smith. At the age of 63 he gave his life to Jesus. He was a member of Hurricane Baptist Church with a merry heart.
He leaves behind his wife of 37 years Annette Rutledge Smith; 2 daughters: Teresa Logan (Wayne) and Ann Marie Estes Tribble (Mike); 1 son: Andy Vancil (Melinda); 3 grandsons: Hawkins Logan, Landon Vancil (Abigail), and Seth Vancil; 4 granddaughters: Savannah Goode, Layne Goode, Kimberly Henderson, and Dana Vela; and 5 great-granddaughters: Alexia Vancil, Rebecca Vancil, Kalie Eddinger, Madelyn Henderson, and Carmella Vela.
He was preceded in death by his father and mother; 1 brother: Jerry Smith; and 1 beautiful grandson: Jonathan Howell.
Services honoring Mr. Smith’s life will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 27, 2018, at Hurricane Baptist Church with the Rev. Phillip Brock officiating. Burial will be in Warren Cemetery. United Funeral Service is in charge of the arrangements.
Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Friday, October 26, at United Funeral Service and 1 hour prior to the service at the church Saturday.
In honor of Mr. Smith’s service to his country the U. S. Air Force flag will be flown during his visitation and service.
