Annual Faulkner & Folk Art Exhibit opens September 22

The opening of the fourth annual Faulkner and Folk Art Exhibit will be Friday, September 22, 5 – 7 PM, at the Union County Heritage Museum, 114 Cleveland Street in New Albany.

This year’s featured book – art challenge is William Faulkner’s The Big Woods.  Artists from across the south have created pieces based either on characters, quotes and scenes from The Big Woods, or on William Faulkner the man. Prizes for this year’s juried art exhibit will be awarded.

Live music by Small Town Music School and Yoknapatawpha’ s food by the Tallahatchie Arts Council will also be featured at the opening.

Admission to this event is free.
