Hubert Durrett Stephens III, 83, passed away May 6, 2019 at St. Dominic’s Hospital in Jackson, MS. He was born June 8, 1935 in Oxford, MS to Hubert D. Stephens, Jr. and Edith O’Connor Stephens. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a Methodist. He was a retired attorney.

He is survived by his wife, Gwen Stephens; a daughter, Kathryn Tinkham (Chip); a son, Glenn H. Stephens (Tammy); two sisters, Edith Ann Gaines and Mary Alice Bolton; a brother, Jimmy Stephens (Elizabeth); and three grandsons: Rhett Stephens, Graham Stephens and Thad Stephens.

Pallbearers will be Jim Stephens, Jack Stephens, Kevin Stephens, Steve Bell, Thad Stephens and Graham Stephens.

Funeral services will be 12:00p.m. Friday, May 10, 2019 at United Funeral Service with graveside services following at Vista Memorial Park. Visitation will be 11:00a.m. until service time. United Funeral Service is in charge of the arrangements.

In honor of Mr. Stephens’ service to his country, United Funeral Service will fly the U.S. Army flag during his visitation and service.
