New Albany: Nellie Faye Hamblin Jarvis, 90, passed away Thursday, June 27, 2019, at NMMC in Tupelo. She was born March 5, 1929 in Union County to Elbert and Wardie Hamblin. Nellie was married to the late James Ray Jarvis and was a homemaker and factory worker. She was a member of Bethlehem United Methodist Church where she was also a member of the Jim Jennings SS class. A special thank you is said to that class for all they did for Nellie and her family. She was also a great fan of Grizzlies Basketball.

Services will be held at Bethlehem United Methodist Church on Saturday, June 29,2019, at 1p.m. with Rev. Jeff Lawrence and Rev. Brownie Tohill officiating.

Survivors are six sons: Wayne (Mary) Jarvis, Clifton (Donna) Jarvis, Bobby ( Mandy) Jarvis, David Jarvis, Danny ( Gaye) Jarvis, Ricky (Roz) Jarvis, and Roger ( Linda) Jarvis: three daughters: Joyce (Jimmy) Little, Pam (Mark) Sides, and Kim (Nickey) Hall; two sisters: Ruth McMillen and Sandra Williams: one brother, Jr. Hamblin: thirty grandchildren, fifty eight great-grandchildren and thirty eight great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Ray Jarvis, one son: Wallace Jarvis, parents, one sister: Jewel Knighton and two brothers: Gene and Charles Hamblin.

Pallbearers will be Eric Jarvis, Chad Jarvis, Brent Jarvis, Brandon Jarvis, Matt Gregory, Michael Jarvis, Josh Jarvis and Allen Jarvis. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Jim Jennings, Bob Clements and Eddie Smith.
