New Albany Students Win at FBLA Northern District Conference

The Future Business Leaders of America Northern District Conference was held Friday, February 27, 2015, at Northeast Community College in Booneville, MS. Students from the New Albany School of Career and Technical Education competed in a variety of areas from Public Speaking to Entrepreneurship. The following students were recognized as winners at the district level.

 

Leeta Ann Prater, 1st place, Public Speaking II

Katie Davis, 1st place, Business Procedures

Rush Butler, Zachary McDonald, Daniel Wiseman, & Wesley Dodds, 1st place, Parliamentary Procedure

Alyssa McCrory, 2nd place, Business Communications

Seth Male, Hayes Trexler, & Eduardo Zaragoza, 2nd place, Entrepreneurship

Beth Barnes, 2nd place, Personal Finance

Christopher Farr, 2nd place, Impromptu Speaking

Peyton Neal, 2nd place, Job Interview

Dajeh Cook, 2nd place, Healthcare Administration

Meghan Van, Austin Gafford, & Samantha Bridges, 3rd place, Sports and Entertainment Management

 

The district winners will have the opportunity to attend the 2015 FBLA State Leadership Conference in Jackson, Mississippi. The conference will be held in April, and students will compete with other FBLA members from across the state. Alison Moore, business and marketing teacher at the New Albany School of Career and Technical Education, serves as the FBLA advisor.
