Myrtle Kiwanis name 2017 Terrific Kids

In 2010, the Kiwanis Club of New Albany began its Terrific Kids program at Myrtle.  Monthly recognition is given to Terrific Kids in each K-3 class.  The Terrific Kids are selected by their teachers for demonstrating a positive attitude, good character and responsible citizenship.

The acronym Terrific names more of the characteristics needed to be a Terrific Kid: Thoughtful, Enthusiastic, Respectful, Responsible, Inclusive, Friendly, Inquisitive & Capable.

If you are named a monthly winner, your name goes in a drawing with others from your grade.  A prize winner from each grade and an overall winner were chosen at random from these names and presented at Myrtle’s Elementary School Awards Day on May 15, 2017.
